Health care professsion
Thank you Jon for creating this homepage and your empathy and advice!
Now I got a very important question: How to manage scabia when working as a health care professional? After the second permethrin session, there souldnt be any scabia left - but how to behave the days and weeks after? Is using gloves in the first days or weeks after treating myself with the suggested advices an option or isnt it necessary at all?
...really dont want to reinfect myself again and of course none of my patients..!
Since I don’t know how to start a new discussions I will post my story here so Jon hopefully will see it:
i have been infested with scabies since 6months now and tried several treatments with Permethrin and Ivermectin. After months of doing the same thing without any results, I came to your page and found my hope again.
My girlfriend and I tried your method and I am currently at day 5. However today I got several new scabies rash which doesn’t look like the one I used to get. The marks are way smaller than they normally are but still have these white-translucent liquidy tops... it’s really nerve racking to suddenly see these new signs of scabies during my treatment. I even did everything you advised to do.
My hope slowly crumbles even more to finally get rid of this goddamn annoying infection. I really hope u see this Jon and if you do so respond to me and help me with your advise. You have been better than any doctor I have already been at (they don’t know anything about Scabies at all except for diagnosing patients).
I just really hope this bs ends soon and I can finally go on with my life normally :/ I just don’t know why my scabies haven’t gone away yet after several months.. it’s not the norwegian one and not even so spread out so why is it so hard for me to get rid of something? I’m sorry that I’m pooring my heart out like that but I’m just so hopeless after these 6months.
