Will my nightmare ever end?
This is a great site and definitely helpful and much needed. Before I get into my lil shpeel about my experience I just wanted to put it out there that the medical industry does not seem to support or diagnose scabies very well at all. It's almost like a conspiracy that they misdiagnose or tend to lean towards the delusional parasitosis theory. Also they make it hard to get medicine and its not really sold over the counter for you to treat yourself except the horse paste I discovered after much research on how I can treat it myself since my docter refused to believe I had it. I know from all my reading that I have the crusted scabies version which is soo hard to treat and not get reinfested. I have been battling this epidemic for a few years now off and on. I notice I'll have some brief periods of relief but eventually get reinfested from my fingernails. I overpick them attempting to get rid of them but it just makes the outbreak worst so I stop trying to get them out cause they have sharp grabbers to stay latched inside your skin. My cuticles and surrounding skin on fingernails and toes are so thick and crusty. As clean as I try to keep my house I had three kids which is kinda hard to do and prevent transmission. My children don't seem to be affected as much except some lesions or bloody bites or breakouts. I heard they seem to like people with type o blood and a weakened immune system. They are also in my hair and scalp and most likely allover my body. I so glad my kids are affected as much. This version of crusted scabies is a nightmare. I can feel there tickly crawling sensations on hair, face and body. They like to infest the underlying tissue of your fingernails or toes especially in the corners for they prefer areas of pressure. My curiosity of parasites and the microscopic world is utterly fascinating and disgusting at the same time. I'll wrap it up about my experience but I must ssa this definitely strikes a passion in me to want to study parasitology or obtain a microscope just so I can know for sure that I am correct in my self diagnosis. Plus this topic needs to be talked about more since alot of regular medical doctors information is not current and they are not experts in the study of scabies.
Thanks again for this awesome website in letting me vent and giving me a since of hope.
Take care all.
We have polluted and trashed our earth so much so that infectious diseases will definitely be on the rise especially left untreated by uneducated docters that don't really care about helping you!
